IN LOVING MEMORY OF COWBOY

He was such a kind and gentle spirit. A real down to earth nature boy.

He will be missed so much by so many.

Cowboy has been such a great friend to everyone at "MEOWSETTE" over the years. We are so lucky to have known him. He loved to walk on the rocks; breathe the fresh air; indulge in a little catnip from his burlap bag now and then; was a great talker; and boy could he dance! Many of you probably know, he was quite the ladies man. There was a time he even had a little crush on our very own Shasta. She admits the feeling was mutual. To the lucky ones who will know him in his next life, dance with him once for us.

On Sunday, February 24th, 2008, cats from many neighboring communities filled Oakwood Park to celebrate the life of, and bid their last farewell to, Cowboy. Cowboy's gentle spirit had reached far beyond his feline friends, touching many species of the animal world. They loved and respected him for his courage, his kindness, and his great inspiration. So, as could have been expected, dogs, squirrels, birds, and many other animals joined his feline friends at this special gathering.  At the end of the day, hundreds of butterflies were released to signify his flight into his next life. Have a safe journey Cowboy, we will miss you so much!
